Oxygen Facial

What are the oxygen facials that celebrities use all about?
Many celebrities, such as Madonna, rely on the oxygen facials to keep their faces smooth and firm.  As we age, the amount of oxygen in the skin significantly decreases.  As a result, the metabolism of our skin cells slow down.  With age and poor health choices such as smoking and sun bathing, the skin loses its ability to retain and utilize oxygen for normal metabolic processes, such as repair and regeneration. When oxygen is lacking at the cellular level, our skin begins to age—sometimes prematurely. Oxygen facials will help nourish and rejuvenate dull skin;

When given high concentrations of oxygen in oxygen facials and treatments, the oxygen triggers the bodies own healing functions and the skin will rapidly heal in such a favorable environment.

Moreover, the skin that is treated with oxygen facials fights bacteria associated with acne more effectively, because in an oxygen rich environment, bacteria, viruses, and fungal infections do not survive.  If oxygen levels are low, it is harder for the skin to rid itself of impurities. However, with a rich concentration of oxygen, the skin and the body as a whole will be able to function better and more efficiently for healthier, smoother glowing skin.

                 The oxygen rejuvenation infusion facial frequently asked questions

Q.  How does no laser the oxygen rejuvenation infusion treatment work?
A.
  Hyperbaric oxygen infuses the face directly with moisture. There are 3 components to
      this: hyperbaric pressure (pressurized oxygen), hyaluronic acid (natural filler in human
      skin), and rich serum of vitamins such as “c”, “e,” and “a”. It is administered through a
      technology that is similar to an airbrush. During an oxygen facial, the hyperbaric
      pressure sends the hyaluronic acid and the vitamins to a deeper layer of the skin.  As a
      result, the new cells and firm skin make you look younger.

Q.  How many treatments do I need to start seeing results?
A.
  Everyone’s skin reacts differently. The oxygen facial treatment is accumulative treatment
     that is performed once a week.  To reach an optimum result, you need to employ a
     healthy eating and exercise routine, take vitamins regularly, drink plenty of water, and
     stay away from the sun
.

It is in the dermis that collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid are found and should be the key ingredients in the best skin care product, as is in the Nouvelle Beaute' all natural product line.

Every person's skin will react differently to the ingredients that are in the skin care product.  Laura and her chemist will offer a guarantee and trial period for everyone that tries and uses Laura's skin care product line, Nouvelle Beaute'

Laura recommends specific home regimens based on each ones skin color, texture, and sensitivity.  You can achieve healthy, balanced, glowing skin in just a few steps a day.  Laura Khalil, the brow queen, will go over this customized home regimen in details with each client.  She will also customize a chemical peel for each client's skin type during each visit.  the chemical peel targets specific problem areas.  The depth of the peel depends on the concentration and type of acid, the duration of contact, and each person's skin type and sensitivity.

Chemical Peel

Q.  What is the chemical peel treatment?
A.
   The chemical peel is a process in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to
       remove dead skin cells and stimulate the production of new skin cells. This process is
      also called a chem-exfoliation.  The chemical peel also known as chemical resurfacing to
      produce an improved appearance of the face. The depth of the peel depends on the
      chemical used and the time kept on the skin to treat and improve photo-aging
      (from sun damage), wrinkles, acne, oily skin and discolorations.

Very light peel (low potency glycolic acid 10%-20%) only penetrates the dead skin that
      sit atop the epidermis and produce almost no injury to he skin.  This level of peel
      sometimes called exfoliation.

      Medium peel (glycolic 30%-40%) stimulate the regeneration of a new epidermis and
      collagen and plumps up the skin.  This level of chemical peel will produce a burning
      sensation during the procedure.  Recovery of light-medium peels is quick and also
      called lunchtime peel.

Q.  What are the kinds of chemical peels that you might use on my skin?
A.
*.  Glycolic acid  (10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%)
     *   Lactic acid  (40%-60%)
     *   salicylic acid (2%-20%)

Q.  Will my skin be very red and will I have to stay home for few days?
A.
  Absolutely Not!
IT IS A LUNCH TIME TREATMENT!
     Remember, a chemical peel solution is used to peel away the skin’s damaged
     outer layers. The new cells and collagen are stimulated during the healing process to
     produce a smoother, tighter, younger looking skin surface.  Some skin will have some
     minor to moderate peeling that will go away in few days.

Q.  Do I have to keep it up even after I reach the perfect skin condition that I've
      always dreamed of?
A.
  Yes!  First of all, you have to be determined and consistent to reach your healthy skin
      goal.  It is like everything else; for example,  when you reach your ideal weight loss, you
      need to keep it up, or you will gain the weight back.  The same idea hold true with
      reaching ideal skin conditions,...YOU NEED TO KEEP IT UP.

     To keep it up, all you have to do is;
     *  keep up your home daily regimen.
     *  getting a chemical peel treatment 3-4 times a year.
     *  Follow Laura's instructions AND AVOID THE SUN.

Q.  Are chemical peels for everyone?
A.  No.  Not recommended for people who are in poor general health, people who have
     active infections and use certain medications (i.e. isotretinoin (Accutane) may preclude
     the use of certain types of chemical peels especially medium and deep.  Also people
     with abnormal scarring, certain diseases, or recent surgeries should not have chemical
     peel.

No matter what your age or skin types, protect yourself from the sun.  Always apply a sunscreen with a SPF of least 15 to all exposed areas of the skin especially your face, regardless of the season or the weather.  SUN EXPOSURE IS THE SINGLE GREATEST SOURCE OF SKIN DAMAGE

Q.  Do I need to get  a series of chemical peel treatments in advance?
A.
No.  I believe that everyone has different needs.  Different skin types improve at different
      rates depending on many factors.  I  will customize the number of chemical peels
      needed per client during the progress.

Q.  How much the best skin care regimen cost?
A.
It does NOT cost an arm and a leg!  However,  Laura cannot determine the cost of your
      home regimen until she examines the client's skin.  IT IS THE BEST INVESTMENT
      YOU WILL EVER MADE FOR YOURSELF, GUARANTEED!

Microdermabrasion

                                            Microdermabrasion Treatment Questions and Answers

                                                                            Dallas TX  location
Q.  What is microdermabrasion?
A.
  Microdermabrasion is a simple and effective form of exfoliation or skin resurfacing.  It is
      a non-invasive treatment designed to improve the overall texture, tone, and clarity of the
      skin while restoring the skin's elasticity.

Q.  How does microdermabrasion work?
A.
  This type of deep exfoliation is performed by gently sandblasting the skin with a high
      pressure flow of ultra fine crystals designed to remove the outer most layers of the
      epidermis followed with a vacuum suction action that removes the crystals.  This
      procedure stimulates the lower layers of the skin that renew the anti-aging
      mechanisms of the skin.

Q.  How many treatments are needed?
A.
  I do not recommend packages for any treatment such as microdermabrasion and/or skin
     resurfacing/needling; everyone's skin is different and improvement rates are different. I
     recommend the treatments on an “as needed” basis.

     With a combination of chemical peels, microdermabrasions , facials and/or body skin
     needling vitamin intake, and with a high quality Nouvelle Beaute skin care regimen, the
     level of improvement will be dramatic and will diminish fine and deep wrinkles, deep
     pitted acne scars, hyper-pigmentation, deep scars caused from chicken pox, brown/age
     spots, large pores and other skin imperfections.

Q.  What are the benefits of a microdermabrasion procedure?
A.
  * no down time
     *  lunch time treatment
     * non-invasive
     * immediate results
     * suitable for most skin - not for skin that has open wounds or severe or active acne.
     * smooths the surface of the skin
     * aids in producing a more normal cell production
     * stimulates the body’s natural collagen, lymph, and blood
     * helps in treating dehydrated / dull skin
     * fine lines / aging skin
     * acne scarring
     * skin hyper-pigmentation

Q.  What are the side effects of a microdermabrasion procedure?
A.
   * there will be slight redness that will last for about 1-2 hours after the treatment. .
      * after treatment,  the skin may feel tight as if exposed to the sun or wind.

Most side effects are temporary and generally subside within72 hours.  However, side effects that may occur, however unlikely and there are:
      * extreme redness will subside within few hours
      * swelling, bruising, stinging, tenderness which may occur with deeper treatment
         levels. Healing may take several days.

Q.  Is everyone’s skin suitable for microdermabrasion?

      * accutane users (should be off for a minimum of 6 months)
      * sunburn
      * rosacea
      * untreated diabetes
      * raised moles, warts, skin tags (unless treated first or we are able get around them)
      * keloid scarring
      * eczema/ psoriasis
      * Vitiligo (is caused by a loss of pigment in the skin, due to destruction of
         pigment-forming cells)

Q.  Can a pregnant client undergo microdermabrasion?
A.
  Yes! with consent form from her physician.

Q.  What areas of the body can be treated with microdermabrasion?
A.
  Face, neck,, decollete, shoulder, back, hands, elbows, and knees

Q.  When can I use make-up after a microdermabrasion treatment?
A.
  I recommend waiting 24 hours

A.
  I recommend taking them off.

Q.  How should I prepare for the treatment?
A.
  You should use mild cleansers only.
Nouvelle Beaute' Arnica facial wash is the
      recommended cleanser before and after your appointment. Do not use glycolic or any
      retinol products 48 hours before or after the treatment.

Q.  What should I do after the procedure for optimum results?
A.
  I will recommend a simple skin care regimen for your skin type to use and
     of course sunscreen is always a must particularly in the summer time.  Avoid tanning
     beds for at least 2 weeks post-treatment.  I do not recommend ever using tanning beds;

sunless spray tanning is the way to go!
